Tanawan’s Research Page

I am a 3rd-year PhD student in Computer Science at Michigan State University, advised by Prof. Parisa Kordjamshidi in the HLR lab. I first joined the lab as an undergraduate researcher, where I discovered my interest in reasoning and AI. After graduating, I continued this work as a PhD student, focusing on spatial reasoning in AI—especially in large language models and multimodal systems. I develop benchmarks, spatial reasoning methods, and diffusion editing frameworks to improve how AI interprets spatial relationships and visual perspectives, with the broader goal of enabling more robust, human-aligned spatial understanding in intelligent systems.
